Cromwell's Shante Wynn rushed for 221 yards and 3 TDs on 18 carries. "As much as we emphasized they were a good football team, our kids didn't believe it until it was too late," Rocky Hill coach Dave Coyne said.

Vinal Tech/Coginchaug 22, Plainville 20: Vinal Tech QB Todd Manjuck scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter and the Hawks held off a late Plainville rally to earn the victory.

NW Catholic 26, St. Paul 20: NW Catholic QB Tim Bourdon threw for 192 yards and a 34-yard touchdown pass, ran for 92 yards and another two touchdowns, including the game-winning score to lead the Indians past St. Paul.

Enfield 18, Fermi 6: Chris Kauffman rushed for 230 yards and 2 TDs as Enfield (7-4) beat rival Fermi (0-10). Mike Dalenta had his fifth interception of the year for Enfield.

Berlin 33, East Catholic 16: Behind a bruising, ball control rushing game, Berlin (11-0, 10-0 Nutmeg) finished the regular season undefeated for the 8th time in school history. Matt Powell and P.J. Sanzo each rushed for 2 TDs as Berlin tied a school record for most wins in a season set in 1991. Joel Hartunian had an interception while Powell rushed for 115 yards on 24 carries.

Farmington 57, Plainville 16: Farmington's Brandon Williard broke the state record for most rushing yards, exploding for 407 yards in the first half on his way to the record of 508 rushing yards. Williard rushed for 7 TDs, including a 64-yard breakaway just 18 seconds into the game on the first play from scrimmage. He also broke free for touchdown runs of 83 and 78 yards in the first half.

Berlin 16, Enfield 6: Joel Hartunian scored a pair of second-quarter touchdowns Saturday as the Redcoats clinched their third straight Nutmeg League title and coach Al Pelligrinelli's 250th career victory with a 16-6 win over second-place Enfield at Sage Park. Berlin extended the longest winning streak in the state to 19 games dating back to its first game last season. Enfield (6-3) had its six-game winning streak go by the boards.

St. Paul 24, Rocky Hill 13: Matt Dumont threw three touchdown passes, picked off a Terrier pass and made the game's biggest tackle on defense, as the visiting Falcons held off a game Rocky Hill team.

St. Paul/Goodwin Tech 19, Farmington 0: Mike Nadeau had 10 carries for 180 yards and three touchdowns as St. Paul/Goodwin Tech (6-3, 6-2) defeated host Farmington (3-4-1, 3-4-1) under the lights. Nadeau scored on runs of 14, 65 and 64 yards.

Northwest Catholic-West Hartford 24, Rocky Hill 7: Tim Bourdon had 119 yards rushing on 18 carries as Northwest (5-4, 5-3) defeated host Rocky Hill (3-6, 3-6). Mark Balkun, Mike Sarnese and Oraine Howell scored touchdowns for Northwest. Rocky Hill's Jeff Courneen made 12 catches for 100 yards.

Middletown 14, N.W. Catholic 8: Cole McDaniel rushed 22 times for 157 yards and scored the winning TD in the fourth quarter to lead the Dragons (5-3) in Middletown. McDaniel is a running back filling in at QB for the injured Vincent Jordan (ankle sprain). Teammate Johnny Moran ran for 153 yards on 30 carries. NWC's Tim Bourdon threw for 66 yards and ran for 31, accounting for 97 of the Indians' 98 yards.

St. Paul 35, East Catholic 28: Matt Dumont threw a pair of TD passes in the fourth quarter to lead the Falcons past East Catholic at Muzzy Field. Joe Hartigan scored 3 TDs for East Catholic, running for 1 and catching 2 passes.

Berlin 32, St. Paul/Goodwin Tech-Bristol 0: Undefeated Berlin (7-0, 6-0 Nutmeg) held St. Paul (4-3, 4-2) to 108 total yards and received touchdowns from four different players as the Redcoats extended their state-best winning streak to 16 games at Sage Park in Berlin. St. Paul has lost 17 straight to BHS, dating back to 1985.

N.W. Catholic-West Hartford 21, Farmington 19: Tim Bourdon completed 12 of 26 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown as NWC (4-3, 4-2) held off a late rally to win at Farmington (3-2-1). FHS trailed 21-7 going into the fourth quarter. Quarterback Todd Marsh (11-for-28, 152 yards 2 TD) hit Jermaine Baskerville with a 23-yard TD pass and then scored on an 8-yard run with 25 seconds left. But NWC's David Gaston, Adam Gooley and DeShaun Walker [13 tackles] stopped the conversion that would have tied it.

Rocky Hill 23, Vinal Tech/Coginchaug 22: Eric Fritz completed an 11-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-goal to Jeff Courneen with no time left as Rocky Hill (3-4) defeated Vinal Tech (0-7) at Palmer Field Middletown. Fritz completed 10 of 25 passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns, both to Courneen (6 catches for 76 yards). Courneen also caught a 32-yard TD pass in the third quarter.

Enfield 38, Plainville 19: Enfield quarterback Patrick Jubrey passed for 152 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 94 yards and another touchdown to lead Enfield (5-2) past winless Plainville (0-6). "Look at (Enfield's kids). Right now we can't compete with those kids. They're big strong kids. I hate to say it, but our kids aren't big and strong right now," Plainville head coach Greg Styles said.

N.W. Catholic 35, Plainville 28: QB Tim Bourdon ran for 100 yards and 1 TD and also threw for 139 yards and 2 TDs to lead the Indians (3-3). NWC rallied from a 28-19 deficit with a pair of fourth quarter TDs from Bourdon to Oraine Howell and Pete Bourdon.

Berlin 8, Middletown 0: Berlin's defense helped the Redcoats extend its state-leading win streak. Berlin (6-0) won its 15th straight as they pitched its third shutout in six games and held Middletown to 72 yards rushing. Matt Powell scored for Berlin with 5:01 left in the second quarter.

Middletown held the Indians to minus 42 yards rushing and had six sacks to earn a shutout victory. Johnny Moran (15-69) and Hampton Watson (12-67) each ran for a TD for Middletown (4-1, 4-1)

Enfield 23, N.W. Catholic 16: Chris Kauffman scored 3 TDs including the game-winner with seven minutes left to lift host Enfield (3-2, 3-2). Kauffman finished with 141 yards on 25 carries. He also scored on a 65-yard interception return.  Mark Balkun led NWC (2-3, 2-3) wih 106 yards rushing on 14 carries and a touchdown.

East Catholic/Cheney Tech 25, Rocky Hill 7: Dahna Deleston scored the first touchdown on an 8-yard run and capped the scoring with a 70-yard punt return as East Catholic/Cheney Tech (4-1) came from behind to defeat Rocky Hill (1-4). East Catholic went ahead to stay just before halftime when J. T. Lauer kicked a 40-yard field goal to make it 11-7. Rocky Hill's only touchdown came in the first quarter on a 44-yard run by T.J. Green. Joe Hartigan led East rushers with 71 yards on 20 carries.

St. Paul/Goodwin Tech 28, Plainville 20: Mike Nadeau had 12 carries for 168 yards and scored two first-quarter touchdowns as St. Paul/Goodwin Tech (4-1) defeated Plainville (0-5) in Bristol. Matt Dumont completed 6-of-13 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns for St. Paul. Mike Giraulo had 169 yards rushing and a touchdown on 19 carries for Plainville.

Quarterback Craig Vincelette completed 18-of-38 passes for 318 yards and three TDs as the Blue Devils scored their first points of the season but the Bobcats blitzed Plainville for 36 first-half points.

No. 2 Berlin (11-1) opened the scoring with 6:04 remaining in the first quarter when halfback Dan Putnam ran 69 yards around left end for a touchdown. The points made Berlin only the third team this year to score against Ledyard's first-team defense. Matt Powell's run put Berlin ahead 8-0.

But Ledyard was immense on defense in the second half. Putnam, who had 88 yards in the first half, had just seven in the last half. Angelo Ortiz' 77-yard counter run to the Berlin 1 began Ledyard's comeback. Nick Startz' TD run midway through the third quarter brought Ledyard to within 8-6.

Ortiz, a junior running back, was a workhorse in the last half, rushing 11 times for 110. He finished with 150 on 25 total carries. The deciding play of the game began with quarterback Steve Martic threw a lateral to wide receiver Bob Clark on the right. He then connected with halfback Matt Fauquet all alone at the Berlin 30

N.W. Catholic-West Hartford 21, Farmington 19: Tim Bourdon completed 12 of 26 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown as NWC (4-3, 4-2) held off a late rally to win at Farmington (3-2-1). FHS trailed 21-7 going into the fourth quarter. Quarterback Todd Marsh (11-for-28, 152 yards 2 TD) hit Jermaine Baskerville with a 23-yard TD pass and then scored on an 8-yard run with 25 seconds left. But NWC's David Gaston, Adam Gooley and DeShaun Walker [13 tackles] stopped the conversion that would have tied it.

Rocky Hill 23, Vinal Tech/Coginchaug 22: Eric Fritz completed an 11-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-goal to Jeff Courneen with no time left as Rocky Hill (3-4) defeated Vinal Tech (0-7) at Palmer Field Middletown. Fritz completed 10 of 25 passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns, both to Courneen (6 catches for 76 yards). Courneen also caught a 32-yard TD pass in the third quarter.

Enfield 38, Plainville 19: Enfield quarterback Patrick Jubrey passed for 152 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 94 yards and another touchdown to lead Enfield (5-2) past winless Plainville (0-6). "Look at (Enfield's kids). Right now we can't compete with those kids. They're big strong kids. I hate to say it, but our kids aren't big and strong right now," Plainville head coach Greg Styles said.

Enfield 33, Vinal Tech 0: Chris Kauffman ran for 194 yards and 4 TDs to lead Enfield (4-2). Kauffman has scored 15 TDs this season.

Farmington 15, East Catholic 15: Todd Marsh (23-70) scored his second TD of the game from 1 yard away midway through the fourth quarter as Farmington (3-1-1) tied East Catholic (4-1-1) under the lights at Nero Field in Manchester.

N.W. Catholic 35, Plainville 28: QB Tim Bourdon ran for 100 yards and 1 TD and also threw for 139 yards and 2 TDs to lead the Indians (3-3). NWC rallied from a 28-19 deficit with a pair of fourth quarter TDs from Bourdon to Oraine Howell and Pete Bourdon.

Berlin 8, Middletown 0: Berlin's defense helped the Redcoats extend its state-leading win streak. Berlin (6-0) won its 15th straight as they pitched its third shutout in six games and held Middletown to 72 yards rushing. Matt Powell scored for Berlin with 5:01 left in the second quarter.

Berlin 34, Vinal Tech 14: Joel Hartunian scored on a 58-yard run and a 45-yard interception return as Berlin won its 14th in a row. The Redcoats led 26-0 in the third quarter.

Middletown 19, Farmington 0:
Middletown held the Indians to minus 42 yards rushing and had six sacks to earn a shutout victory. Johnny Moran (15-69) and Hampton Watson (12-67) each ran for a TD for Middletown (4-1, 4-1)

Enfield 23, N.W. Catholic 16: Chris Kauffman scored 3 TDs including the game-winner with seven minutes left to lift host Enfield (3-2, 3-2). Kauffman finished with 141 yards on 25 carries. He also scored on a 65-yard interception return.  Mark Balkun led NWC (2-3, 2-3) wih 106 yards rushing on 14 carries and a touchdown.

East Catholic/Cheney Tech 25, Rocky Hill 7: Dahna Deleston scored the first touchdown on an 8-yard run and capped the scoring with a 70-yard punt return as East Catholic/Cheney Tech (4-1) came from behind to defeat Rocky Hill (1-4). East Catholic went ahead to stay just before halftime when J. T. Lauer kicked a 40-yard field goal to make it 11-7. Rocky Hill's only touchdown came in the first quarter on a 44-yard run by T.J. Green. Joe Hartigan led East rushers with 71 yards on 20 carries.

St. Paul/Goodwin Tech 28, Plainville 20: Mike Nadeau had 12 carries for 168 yards and scored two first-quarter touchdowns as St. Paul/Goodwin Tech (4-1) defeated Plainville (0-5) in Bristol. Matt Dumont completed 6-of-13 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns for St. Paul. Mike Giraulo had 169 yards rushing and a touchdown on 19 carries for Plainville.

Berlin 30, N.W. Catholic 6: Matt Powell rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries as host Berlin (4-0) beat the Indians (2-2).

Enfield 29, St. Paul-Bristol/ Goodwin Tech-New Britain 15:
Chris Kauffman had 154 yards rushing on 18 carries and two touchdowns as Enfield (2-2) handed St. Paul/Goodwin Tech (3-1) its first loss in Enfield.

Middletown 26, Rocky Hill 25:
Johnny Moran rushed for 169 yards and three TDs, including one with 6:33 to play, as visiting Middletown (3-1) defeated Rocky Hill (1-3).

Farmington 24, Vinal Tech/Coginchaug 8: Brandon Williard ran 74 yards for a touchdown on the first play of the third quarter as the Indians (3-0) dominated Vinal Tech/Coginchaug (0-4) at Palmer Field in Middletown. Willard ran 10 times for 144 yards.

South Windsor 43, Plainville 25:
Quarterback Craig Vincelette completed 18-of-38 passes for 318 yards and three TDs as the Blue Devils scored their first points of the season but the Bobcats blitzed Plainville for 36 first-half points.

Farmington 14, Rocky Hill 6:
Brandon Williard scored two touchdowns and rushed for 118 yards on 16 carries to lead host Farmington (2-0). Rocky Hill's Jeff Courneen caught nine passes for 96 yards, and Brent Towle intercepted a pass and made a 25-yard return.

Middletown 49, Plainville 0:
Middletown's Cole McDaniel rushed 16 times for 134 yards and three touchdowns and Johnny Moran had 101 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Craig Vincelette led Plainville, completing 9 of 20 passes for 127 yards. Plainville was held to minus-12 yards rushing.

St. Paul/Goodwin Tech 14, Vinal Tech Coginchaug 0: Mike Nadeau scored on a 52-yard run in the first quarter and Matt Dumont from eight yards in the fourth quarter to lead St. Paul. Antoine Lombardo-Pierce ran for 79 yards on 20 carries for Vinal and Mike Cabelus had 66 yards on 12 runs.
